Louise Mitchell has never been far out of mind since her last exit from Eastenders.
BBC viewers were reminded of Louise only last week, when her dad Phil Mitchell was left feeling lonely on Father’s Day. With the arrest of his son Ben for credit card fraud in America and his daughter fleeing Walford, it proved to be a tough day for the local hard-man.
Louise last fled the soap to join her mum in Portugal following a huge scandal. Ever since her birth, Phil’s daughter has found herself swarmed in drama.
With the many ups and downs, it proved to be a role too grand for just one person. Over the years, viewers will recall four different actresses stepping up to play the feisty fan-favourite and now we’re glancing back to see what they’re all doing today.
Danni Bennatar
Danni joined the EastEnders clan at the ripe age of just eight years old.
However, the soap wasn’t her first on-screen rodeo, as she’d also starred in BBC sitcom Outnumbered, playing the role of Alexa before landing the role as the second Louise Mitchell. She took over from Rachel Cox, who appeared as baby Louise.
When Danni arrived in the iconic square, she was unaware that Phil was in fact her biological father. However, before she exited Walford the big secret was out leaving Louise confused and upset.
Danni exited the show just two years after her arrival in 2008. The actress went on to star in Gulliver’s Travel’s, playing the Giant Princess alongside comedian Jack Black.
Since 2010, it would seem that Danni may have opted to place her acting career on the back-burner as she hasn’t starred in anything else. The social media influencer seems to have carved out quite a successful career online trying and sampling skin and make-up products.
The TV star did also strike up a modelling deal to be the face of Superdrug a few years back too. When she’s not modelling and reviewing skincare essentials, according to LinkedIn, she is a personal assistant at the Bank of England.
Brittany Papple
Brittany joined the soap at an awful time for her alter-ego Louise, who was being abused and manipulated by her brother Ben.
Back in 2010, her on-screen brother Ben had been suffering at the hand of his step-mother Stella Crawford – Phil’s ex – and decided to inflict his pain and suffering onto his own half-sister. One gruesome episode saw Ben burn Louise with a hot spoon in a bid to teach her “a lesson”.
It wasn’t long before her real dad Phil swooped in, putting an end to Ben’s awful behaviour after finding out what was going on. At this point, Louise left Walford to reunite with her mum Lisa.
Since closing the door on Eastenders, Brittany, 26, has graduated from Millennium Performing Arts and even landed herself an enviable role as a dancer at Disneyland Paris.
If her Instagram is anything to go by, she’s certainly been having a blast and treating fans to the famous park life along with numerous trips abroad.
Tilly Keeper
In 2016, Louise was once again back on screens, this time in a literal blaze of drama after Phil attempted to burn down his beloved car lot not knowing his daughter had been inside it.
Other scandalous storylines included a love triangle ordeal – Louise’s boyfriend Keanu Taylor slept with her step-mum Sharon Watts and she then became pregnant. It wasn’t until Christmas that the secret was out, with Phil and Ben furiously ordering a hit on Keanu.
Another sizzling scene, saw Louise in a steamy moment with Hunter Owen. The pair were caught in the act, having sex on CCTV within the E20 club.
Since leaving the programme, Tilly has been super busy and in demand. After her exit in 2020, Tilly’s acting career has taken off with the budding star landing a number of role’s on the big screen, such as Rise of the Dammed, You and Make Me Famous.
