EastEnders’ Sharon prison sentence ‘sealed’ as exit ‘confirmed’ after 39 years

Sharon Watts could “absolutely” end up in prison for Keanu’s murder.

On Christmas Day, Keanu (Danny Walters) discovered that Albie wasn’t his biological son and began strangling Sharon (Letitia Dean) in a fit of rage in The Vic. To protect her friend, Linda (Kellie Bright) stabbed Keanu with a meat thermometer, accidentally killing him.

The Six buried his body in the café before Sharon fled to Australia. She finally returned earlier this week and Keanu’s body was found just days later. During Thursday’s instalment (April 4) of the BBC soap, which is already available to watch on BBC iPlayer, the police arrived a re-questioned Sharon about the events of Christmas Day.

Later, the police returned and arrested Sharon in front of horrified onlookers, including Zack (James Farrar) and Phil (Steve McFadden). Sharon protested her innocence as Bernie (Clair Norris) claimed Karen (Lorraine Stanley) was right about her all along.

Sharon insisted that she loved Keanu and would never hurt him. But Bernie simply replied: “You’re going to pay for what you did.” Sharon sobbed as she was taken away in a police car.

Now, Daily Star has quizzed artificial intelligent “creative” tool Bard AI to see whether Sharon could be sent to prison for Keanu’s murder. The programme responded: “Yes, Sharon from EastEnders could absolutely go to prison for Keanu’s murder.”

It continued: “The circumstances surrounding the murder and the evidence collected will determine the severity of the charges and potential sentence. Police likely have gathered forensic evidence or witness testimonies that could implicate her.”

The system pointed out that there could be one saving grace for the character if she is willing to cooperate with the police. “If Sharon cooperates and reveals details about the crime, she might receive a lighter sentence,” AI added.

Letitia Dean even admitted herself that there’s “no escape” for Sharon and the rest of The Six after Keanu’s body is discovered. She explained: “It’s the unimaginable for all of them. Up until this point, they have managed to dodge every hurdle, some more successfully than others, but there is no escaping this one.”
