An eighties movie legend has left fans in awe after they discovered she has not aged a day.
Amanda Wyss is best known for starring in the ’80s horror film Nightmare on Elm Street. Taking on the role of Tina Gray, Amanda was brutally murdered in the film by iconic horror icon Freddy Krueger.
In the film, her character Tina became the first victim of the disfigured murderer, being woken up from a terrifying nightmare after being slashed across her body by the mysterious figure’s metal claws. She later suffers the same fate, being murdered in her dream state by the serial killer in horrifying scenes for viewers.

But away from her fame on the iconic movie, Amanda – who is now 62 – has not aged a day since the film hit our screens back in 1984. However, despite her small cameo on the film, she does not forget her time on set, and still stays in touch with her co-stars.
A number of weeks ago, Amanda was papped at a reunion for the cast of the iconic horror film, and was able to catch up with all of her pals. This included Freddie Krueger actor himself Robert Englund, who went on to achieve real Hollywood success following the movie’s release.
Celebrating the fortieth anniversary of its release, the actress wowed for the cameras as she got together to reminisce over the landmark film. She also is a regular at fan events, including Comic Con – where she dishes out all the backstage secrets of the film.
In 2018, she attended the Exit 6 Film Festival and admitted that the legacy the film had will love on for decades. This comes despite the fact that she has only seen the film herself once or twice.
She explained: “I’ve only seen the film once or twice, because I don’t usually watch myself that often. But filming it was a really interesting experience and we knew we were making a really interesting piece of film.
“That death scene is on the 100 greatest movie deaths of all time,” she added. “It’s been on the Academy Awards twice, it’s been used in movies and TV shows constantly, so I feel really lucky how it’s turned out to be and I’m totally grateful for it!”
Wyss had gone into the film’s production hoping to take on the main role of Nancy Thompson, but was later given the role of Tina Gray to open the film. Eventually, the lead was given to Heath Langenkamp, who went on to star in a number of other horror films including Wes Craven’s New Nightmare and The Demolitionist.
Some of Amanda’s other film credits included her 1982 breakout film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She starred in the hilarious comedy-drama alongside a slew of then-unknown actors who would come to dominate Hollywood, including Sean Penn, Nicolas Cage and Forest Whittaker.
