Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers’ huge fortune has been revealed days after his tragic death.

The TV chef passed away last week two years after he revealed he was undergoing treatment for an unspecified type of cancer. According to reports, accounts filed on January 31 show that Dave’s production company, which he owned with wife Lilana Orzac, was worth £1.4million and made a £200,000 profit in the previous 12 months.

Also, Hairy Bikers Television, which Dave owned with co-star Si King, was worth a modest £92,000 – bringing the late star’s overall fortune to almost £1.5million. He also produced 30 cookbooks, with The Hairy Bikers’ Great Curries is a bestseller on Amazon.

Si and Dave met back in 1995 and also worked on over 30 separate projects since they first debuted on the BBC in 2006. In 2017, Dave is said to have sold his seven-bedroom Victorian property in his hometown of Cumbria for £525,000, where he also owned a six-bedroom house, which was sold for almost £1.3m the following year in 2018.

The TV personality also owned property in Sittingbourne, which is now valued at £1,050,000. His four bedroom flat in Burton-on-Trent is also valued at £780,000. He had previously rented a penthouse flat at Trinity Buoy Wharf in London’s Docklands to use with Si when they were filming.

MailOnline also report that Dave had also owned properties in France, on the island of Roa in Morecambe Bay, and Kent., He was a talented artist who started out as a make up artist specialising in prosthetics, worked as a labourer to raise enough money to study fine art at Goldsmiths in London, which led him to a job in the BBC’s make-up department.

The chef announced he was receiving treatment for cancer in May 2022 and bravely kept the public up to date with his progress in a series of emotional TV specials. He died last Wednesday (February 28)with his family and friends by his side, colleague and lifelong friend Si revealed.

The passing of Dave, who is survived by wife Liliana and two children Izabelle and Sergiu, sparked an outpouring of tributes from across the TV industry. Strictly dancer Karen Hauer – who Dave partnered on the show in 2013 – said she was ‘heartbroken’ by the news as she posted a broken heart emoji.

Following his diagnosis, Dave briefly took a break from work before filming his last show with Si, which sees them travel west across Britain from Scotland to Devon. Si previously said that the series, The Hairy Bikers Go West, which is airing on BBC Two, would be one they would “always remember”.
