Big Brother bosses are looking to sign James Haskell ahead of the launch of the celebrity series this spring.
James, 38, has been touted as one of the most likely stars to appear on the ITV show, which has seen a huge resurge in interest after returning to our screens last autumn. With Celebrity Big Brother due to kick off in March, bosses are now keen to finalise the line-up ahead of the show launch.
And it seems producers at the show are keen to have former England rugby star James enter the house. Should he decide to sign on the dotted line, he would join a number of other rumoured housemates including the Princess of Wales’ uncle, Gary Goldsmith.

Gary, who is the brother of Kate’s mum, is said to have no holes barred if he enters the House. Haskell himself has also reported to have been in “advanced talks” about going into the well-known house, having already met the casting team for the show.
James has got an open calendar as he continues to move on from his former marriage to Chloe Madeley. The pair had seemingly been loved up for years, but things came crashing down for the duo when the pair agreed to divorce in September.
Speaking to the Mirror, a source close to the show said: “James has brilliant potential as a housemate. He’s a great character and is incredibly likeable.
“He’s also single after splitting from Chloe, and he was really open about that in his meeting,” the insider added. “Bosses think that openness would be fantastic for the show, and people would really warm to him.”
The source also said that bosses were charmed by his ability to be brutally honest and are banking that his straightforward mindset will provide some much-needed drama in the house. James, however, has neither confirmed nor denied the rumours about his potential stay in the house.
James and Chloe have been struggling since they called time on their relationship late last year. The pair, who share one-year-old daughter Bodhi, have still been living together since they split, but tensions have been continuing to rise since they ended things.
Last week, model and presenter Chloe revealed that James should be moving out of their home “in the next few weeks”. The startling admission came just weeks after Jamie, who now works as a DJ, was seen cosying up to a woman at the exclusive London club Gilgamesh.
Bosses at ITV are trying to put out all the stops to ensure an amazing line-up for the celebrity series of the legendary reality show. A source close to the show said there would be some “massive names in the mix”, but a spokesperson for Big Brother insisted all names being suggested are “purely speculation”.
