Former Jeremy Kyle guest Audrey Chawner has passed away “peacefully in her sleep” aged 73.
Her daughter and X Factor star Emma has confirmed the news as she shared an emotional tribute online. Emma posted a tribute on Instagram dedicated to her mum.
Alongside a picture of Audrey, Emma captioned the post: “I’m just letting you all know my mum passed peacefully in her sleep at 4am this morning.”
Friends and fans flocked to the comment section to support the star and share their condolences. TV star Emma had spoken about her mum in an interview with The Sun and said: “She was a lovely lady – loved her TV programmes, loved her animals and loved a good laugh.”

“Her favourite TV programmes were Emmerdale and EastEnders. My dog also passed on Tuesday at 11am, and mum died on Monday, I said that night ‘mum if you can hear me take Ruby with you’.”
Her daughter Emma was best known for starring on X Factor whilst wearing a wedding dress and failing to impress the judging panel. Though her family famously campaigned for her to go through as they pleaded with the judges.

Emma first auditioned for The X Factor back in 2007 but returned twice more, including once with her sister Samantha in 2009.
Her family also all starred on Jeremy Kyle together, along with The Chawners’ Last Chance and Lorraine Kelly’s Big Fat Challenge.

Sisters Emma and Samantha went on the show to speak with their mum Audrey, who they claimed abused them for years before she abandoned the family.
Samantha said: “I was ill and you were pinching me and hitting me.”
But Audrey didn’t seem bothered and simply replied: “One thing I’m going to ask you for, Emma, is I want my Man Utd scarf please.”
