England defender Kyle Walker is “relieved” his legal battle against Lauryn Goodman is over.
The footballer, 34, has been in Germany trying to bring football home in the Euros – but narrowly missed out, losing to Spain in the final. As soon as he got home, he was thrust into legal drama with reality star Lauryn, 33, over financial arrangements for their two children.
Walker admitted that the pair had reconnected, years after they first brought a child into the world – Kairo, four. The unnamed baby girl, now aged 10 months, was also revealed to be Kyle’s child after Goodman went to the media in January – something that Walker would eventually end up confirming.

The couple had reconnected in London during a period in time when Kyle was separated from wife Annie Kilner. When the news dropped of his infidelity, Kilner broke off the marriage to protect both herself and their four children.
However, since then – the pair, who were childhood sweethearts, have opted to give their marriage another go and rekindle their love for each other. Walker made a point of this by wearing his wedding ring as he stepped out of his Mercedes Benz for the second day of court proceedings on Wednesday (July 17).
The court hearing, held at the High Court, was used to discuss financial arrangements for the child, as Kyle insisted he would be having no other interactions with Lauryn. But now, a source close to the Manchester City star has said that he is thrilled to put the saga behind him.
“He is relieved the court case with Lauryn is over and he can go back to Manchester to be with his wife Annie and the family,” the insider revealed. “He barely got to see them when he came back from the Euros and then had to head to London so he is looking forward to some quality family time now before the new football season starts.”
Reality star Lauryn meanwhile walked into the court clutching a ‘KW’ necklace – a reference to her son, Kairo. Together, Kairo and Lauryn attended the Euros in Germany last month to see dad Kyle play, and admitted that following England’s loss, the four-year-old was desperate to call his dad.
Lauryn hit back at criticism that she had brought the child to the Euros to make a point of Kyle’s lack of interest in their lives. “We are not here to please other people,” she fumed.
“It’s about Kairo and what is best for him and what is going to make him happy. I won’t be scapegoated or bullied and made to feel like a villain.”
