Love Island All Stars fury over double dumping as fans blame star for Liberty exit

Love Island All Stars fans fumed as Liberty Poole and Mitch Taylor were given the boot.

At the end of Tuesday’s episode (January 30) of the hit ITV2 dating show, Maya Jama made an explosive entrance in front of the shocked Islanders. She asked the stars to line-up in a particular order, later revealing it was in the order of how the public voted.

Tom Clare and Molly Smith nabbed the top spot while Mitch and Liberty were down the other end of the pile. Maya then told the duo that they would be leaving the villa immediately as they had received the least amount of votes.

They kept their spirits up despite the news, but the same couldn’t be said for fans who raced to X, formerly Twitter, to share their frustrations over the twist. One fumed: “liberty would still be in the villa if mitch wasn’t playing her the whole time UGH I HATE MEN.”

Another raging viewer wrote: “Stop being with theses dirty men. Liberty has been kicked out now by association because of Mitch.” A third agreed: “Liberty! see what happens when you couple up with useless demons like Mitch? now my fave girl is gone.”

Someone else weighed in: “I’m so annoyed that liberty attached herself to mitch but I’m happy Mitch is going.” A fifth declared: “Mitch dragged Liberty down with him.”

Others seemed more concerned about Mitch leaving, believing the drama would be heading out the door with him. One commented: “I’m actually so sad Mitch is leaving btw. like he made this season a lot more enjoyable by his stupid comments.”

“Absolutely raging Mitch has left,” fumed a second. “Not watching the rest of the series. Seriously what do Liberty and Kaz bring to the show. Boring.” Another echoed: “So they get rid of Liberty & Mitch to bring in Casey & Joanna entertainment levels are gonna drop.”

Meanwhile a fourth penned: “I think the #LoveIsland #AllStars producers should have done some meddling here as Liberty & Mitch are offering a lot of the entertainment. And I don’t think this series can afford to quieten down, given the viewing figures.”

Mitch and Liberty aren’t the only Islanders leaving as Maya revealed two more would be following them. The decision on who goes is up to them and will be aired during Wednesday’s episode (January 31).

At the end of the show, Casey O’Gorman and Joanna Chimonides were revealed to be the latest bombshells. Joanna, 27, first appeared on Love Island in 2019 while 27-year-old Casey starred on the winter series alongside Tom in early 2023.
