Demi Moore shares touching tribute to ex-husband Bruce Willis amid dementia battle

Hollywood actor Bruce Willis was inundated with birthday messages as he turned 70 on Wednesday, with ex-wife Demi Moore sharing a sweet tribute alongside a series of photos

The Substance actress Demi Moore penned an emotional message for her ex-husband Bruce Willis.

The Die Hard legend, who’s battling Frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a condition that messes with behaviour and communication, had his 70th birthday bash on Wednesday (19.03. 25).

Demi, who split from Bruce in 2000 after a 13-year hitch, took to Instagram with snaps of Bruce, their girls Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, Tallulah, 31, and Rumer’s tot Louetta, 23 months.

The actress, who’s clearly still got a lot of love for her former flame, shared: “Happy birthday, BW! We love you [heart emoji] (sic)”.

Meanwhile, Bruce’s current wife Emma Heming Willis called on all the actor’s fans to shower him with birthday wishes.

On her Insta, she posted: “It’s Bruce’s birthday, and if there’s one thing I know, it’s that there’s no greater fan than a Bruce fan. So flood him with all the love today-he will feel it, I swear he will. You are one powerful bunch. I love how you rally for him, and I’m so grateful that he has you.”

Rumer, the eldest Willis offspring, dubbed her old man “the king” in her own b-day shout-out.

She shared a quirky vid of her folks getting their groove on, captioning it: “To the King…I love you Daddio.

“Happy 70th Birthday papa (sic)”.

And Tallulah chimed in, celebrating her dad as her “favourite friend”.

Scout Willis has taken to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute to her dad, Bruce Willis, on his 70th birthday, calling him an undimmable light and expressing her pride in being his daughter. She gushed: “happy 70th to my favorite friend! you are a light that can never be dimmed! I love you so proud to be your baby Tallulah Belle Bruce Willis [fish emojis] (sic)”.

In another post filled with affection, she continued the celebrations, saying: “Happy 70th to my favorite guy. I love my family [balloon emojis] (sic)”.

While Scout was overjoyed to honour the influence her father has had on her life, she also opened up about the mix of emotions she felt on this special day.

Early on, she shared her admiration for her dad: “Happy birthday to the Greatest of all time. [goat emoji] Every day I thank the Gods that 50% of my DNA is from him. The music I make, the magic I create, and the magnetic mischief I incite, that’s my father’s legacy alive in the world.(sic)”.

However, the day was tinged with sadness as she later posted about the sorrow she’s experiencing due to the ’12 Monkeys’ star’s health issues.

She candidly revealed: “I cried a lot this morning, because I’m a baddie and grief is non linear and I am so full of love. Grief it’s the price I pay to get to feel this depth of love and I would never give my grief away.”

Scout also reflected on her current project and her father’s influence on her artistic pursuits: “I’m in Nashville making a record right now and I’m just so deeply aware that the music i make is a direct result of the musical education my dad made sure I got, Because it was his absolute joy to share what he loved with me.

“Every time I smirk and audaciously ask for more and every time I feel so f****** insatiable that I want to devour the entire world because I am so GODDAMN in love with life, I am my father’s child. I’m so full of feeling today and just extending this massive Love to anyone feeling deeply today.”
