Gordon Ramsay has finally spoken out about his daughter Holly Ramsay’s wedding to Olympian Adam Peaty, which took place at Bath Abbey on 27 December
Gordon Ramsay has addressed his daughter’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty.
The TV chef has finally spoken out about his daughter Holly’s wedding to the sportsman amidst the Olympian’s ongoing family feud. During an appearance on This Morning, Gordon defended his fiery father of the bride speech and described it as “perfect.”
The renowned chef confessed that it had been a “tough” job, but he rose to the occasion at the star-studded ceremony in Bath Abbey last December. Gordon told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard: “Being a dad of three daughters, you dream of that moment.”
“I was a hot mess but the speech was perfect, it went well. You’ve got to be warm and emotional but it was a tough gig.”
His eldest daughter Tilly added: “I was sat in his room for an hour as he was just reading through it. It was just like going through everything, but no tweaks were needed. It was perfect. It made everybody cry. It was so emotional but so incredible to see her and Adam so happy. It was a big day for all of us,” reports the Mirror.
The Strictly Come Dancing star further described the day as “perfect”.
Holly and Adam exchanged vows on 27 December, however only one member of Adam’s family attended the wedding. Only his sister Bethany was in attendance and served as one of Holly’s bridesmaids.
Leading up to their big day, it was claimed that the majority of Peaty’s family would not be attending, including his ‘devastated’ mum Caroline and father Mark. Adam also delivered a speech at the ceremony where he declared he would “always choose” his bride, Holly.
