Davina McCall says it's difficult raising broken home children in lockdown

The Masked Singer panellist Davina McCall has spoken frankly about the added pressures the current coronavirus lockdown has had on broken families up and down the country.

Davina, 52, has three children from their marriage with Matthew Robertson, Holly, 18, Chester, 13, and Tilly, 16.

The couple split in 2019 after 17 of years of marriage together.

Speaking frankly about coronavirus over the weekend before Boris Johnson added further measures to lockdown the UK, the national treasure said: “I’m nervous.

“I don’t like not knowing what is going to happen next.

“I am a planner. I wake up and plan the week. None of us know what is going to happen.

“I have followed the government’s advice but I’ve not been self isolating as I don’t have any at symptoms but I’ve been social distancing.

“The hard bit is the kids being away from their dad.

“They have to go between both homes because they can’t not see their dads. And that is difficult.”

Davina added during the now deleted Instagram live: “It is unpredicted. It’s never happened before.

“I am telling you the people in the hospitals, the bin collectors they are the heroes.

“We can’t live without them.”

In a bid to try and help others cope with self isolation, the starlet is offering her new online platform Own Your Goals for free.

The site features workouts, classes and recipes.

Davina added: “I hope I can offer comfort with Own Your Goals.

“I have no idea how but Universal are the one who made the site but they moved heaven and earth to get it happening and it’s now free for 30 days.”
