Jeremy Renner has shared a snap of his “protector” dog Hershey as he continued his recovery following a snow plough accident.
The actor, 52, posted a snap of his pooch sitting on the bed looking out of the window, with the caption: “My little protector. Sweet love Hershey.”
It comes after he suffered severe injuries in the New Year’s Day incident close to his home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

The star recently featured in a trailer for his new docuseries, Rennervatins, due to air from April 12, with four episodes set to highlight the cities of Chicago, Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), Rajasthan (India), and his hometown of Reno.
In the two-minute trailer Renner said: “I”m buying these decommissioned government vehicles to help reimagine them to serve the community again, just in a different way.”
Jeremy has been chronicling his recovery, ever since surviving the horrifying accident on January 1, last week featuring a video of him improving his leg strength with the help of a gym bike.
In the accident, Jeremy was using his snow-removal tractor to help recover his nephew’s car from his driveway, but it slid down a street after the car was towed, which prompted the actor to jump out of its cab.

After he exited the vehicle, Renner realised that it could potentially hit his nephew, who was with him at the time of the incident.
The Mayor of Kingstown star then attempted to re-enter the snow plough in order to divert its path but he was pulled under its left side track and run over during the attempt.
Renner was crushed underneath the vehicle and was immediately taken to the hospital while suffering from breathing difficulties and various other injuries.
