The Chase host Bradley Walsh halts show and restarts question after on-air blunder

The Chase host Bradley Walsh suffered a hilarious on-air blunder after he burst out laughing while reading the first question to contestant Patrick.

Bradley was close to tears as he read out the question for Patrick, which was: “In an old saying, ‘He who sups with the Devil should have a long…’ what?”

Seemingly looking at the question in a cheeky light, Bradley started laughing, so much so that he had to start reading the question and it’s potential answers again.

One fan on Twitter was particularly furious at Bradley’s laughing blunder, as they believe he managed to give away the correct answer based on which answers made him laugh.

Bradley couldn’t stop laughing

“Don’t give away the answer is B by laughing at the other two answers will you! #thechase,” they fumed.

Another put: “Bradley fake cracking up again? #TheChase,” unimpressed by Bradley’s blunder.

Later in the show and after recovering from his mistake, Bradley saw Patrick and second contestant Linda take home a whopping £15,000.

This was later deducted by Brian, who chose to go against the Chaser, The Sinnerman, to make it back with -£3,000, leaving the team with £12,000 between the three of them after contestant Afreena was caught by the Chaser.

The team managed to gain 21 points during the final chase and left the Sinnerman unsure at whether he’d be able to catch them.

“I’ve got to go at some pace,” he told Bradley.

Fortunately for the team, the Sinnerman failed to catch the contestants and they each took home £3,000 each from the cash prize.

Fans fumed at Brian, who had cost the team a huge loss in order to make sure he made it back from his one on one with the Sinnerman.

One fan wrote: “They could have taken two high offers easily. Celebrating 3 grand.”

Another put: “You owe Linda and Patrick £1500 each #TheChase,” while a third added: “Brian redeemed- up to a point! #TheChase.”
