Noel Gallagher Debuts New Song Demo

    WENN

The former Oasis member has given his loyal fans a special treat on New Year’s Eve as he drops a new song demo titled ‘We’re Gonna Get There in the End’.

    Jan 2, 2021
AceShowbiz – Noel Gallagher has released his demo of “We’re Gonna Get There in the End”.
The former Oasis star took to Twitter this week (end03Jan21) to share with his fans that he’s been “writing and noodling recently.”
And Noel explained he decided to release the track on New Year’s Eve (31Dec20) because “the lyrics are quite apt for the times” amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“Firstly let me wish everyone a Happy New Year. Things can only get better from here!! (saying that, they couldn’t get much worse could they?!),” he wrote. “Anyway I’ve been writing and noodling recently and I’ve made a little demo of a tune that I wrote a couple of weeks ago and it actually came out sounding pretty good.”

“The lyrics are quite apt for the times and I think I’d like to share it with you. The song is called We’re Gonna Get There In The End. Hope your hangovers aren’t too horrific. Hopefully we’ll catch up soon. PS. IT’S ONLY A DEMO. ONWARDS. NG.”
On the uplifting tune, Noel sings, “Remember the dream that you’re keeping alive / Remember your love for the loved outside / Don’t fight the feeling / Don’t stop believing in what you know/ ‘Cause you can’t let go my friend / We’re gonna get there in the end.”

Last year, Noel vented his frustrations at fans who showed up at his concerts and demanded Oasis’ songs. “The new stuff that I am doing they f**king hate it. Which makes me want to do it more,” the British musician said.

  • Noel Gallagher: Music Critics Looked Like Fools for Initially Bashing Oasis Classic 'Morning Glory'

    WENN

The Oasis musician suggests music journalists looked like fools for criticizing their 1995 album which later went on to become one of the greatest albums of all time.
    Oct 4, 2020
AceShowbiz – Noel Gallagher is convinced Oasis’ third album, “Be Here Now”, landed rave reviews from the British media because music journalists didn’t want to look like fools again after slamming the classic “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?”.
The 1995 release was hammered by the press but went on to become one of the greatest albums of all time and Gallagher now believes “Be Here Now” benefited from so-called music writers looking like idiots.
“It didn’t get one good review, I don’t think… I was expecting it to be not well received…,” Noel says of “Morning Glory” in the album’s new 25th anniversary documentary, “Return to Rockfield”. “They were actually on the verge of sounding the death knell for the band.”

“It goes to prove that really journalists, they know f**k all. They had to second guess everything after Morning Glory, because they got it so wrong. That’s why when Be Here Now came out, which isn’t a great album, it got 10 out of 10 everywhere… because they didn’t want to be made to look like d**ks again, and they were, because it’s not half the album Morning Glory is. After that, they properly hated us, because they didn’t understand us.”
“In the end the people decide… The people decide what is hot and the people decide what is not and that’s it – the end!”
In the documentary, Noel reunited with the guitar he used to record Oasis classic “Wonderwall”. He apparently gave it away to sound engineer Nick Brine, “So that’s the one I played Wonderwall on. F**king hell, you jammy b**tard. That’s gonna be worth tens of pounds one day. Giving guitars away, I must’ve been high.”

Noel Gallagher Assures He Did Not Turn Down $130 Million Offer for Oasis Reunion Tour

Responding to Liam Gallagher’s accusation of him being a ‘greedy soul,’ the former lead guitarist of the rock band insists he was not aware of any offer to reform the group.
    Feb 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Noel Gallagher has denied his estranged brother’s claims he turned down $130 million (£100 million) to reform Oasis.
Frontman Liam Gallagher alleged “greedy soul” Noel had snubbed a reunion tour earlier this week (begins February 03), but the Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds star has assured fans that’s not true.
“I am not aware of any offer from anybody for any amount of money to reform the legendary Mancunian Rock’n’Roll group Oasis,” a statement from Noel reads. “I am fully aware though that someone has a single to promote so that’s maybe where the confusion lies.”
The Gallagher brothers have been feuding in the press and on social media since Noel quit the band during a European tour in 2009, following a fight backstage at France’s Rock En Seine festival.
