The ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ singer says, while the Covid-19 lockdown left her feeling ‘musically isolated,’ it helped her figure out what she wanted to do with her music.

AceShowbiz – Rita Ora felt “musically isolated” in lockdown.
The singer was delighted to get back into the studio to record her new EP “Bang” because things had “got a bit weird” when she was forced to spend months at home without physical contact with her collaborators amid the coronavirus pandemic last year.
Speaking in a behind-the-scenes clip from the making of the EP, she said, “It feels amazing and really good to be back, an actual studio and be around instruments.”
“I can also bounce off people’s energy. It got a bit weird I’m not going to lie, musically I felt isolated which I’ve never experienced before.”
However, the “I Will Never Let You Down” hitmaker admitted the time allowed her the opportunity to figure out what she wants to do with her music.

“That really made me write and think a lot about what I want to do musically,” she added.
Rita has teamed up with Kazakh producer and DJ Imanbek for the project and she was “really excited” to try something new with him and is happy with their efforts so far.
“He is a really exciting new DJ with hits of his own. I just love his sound and I just wanted to get in touch his brain,” she gushed. “It just grew into this, ‘Should we do a project?’ ”
“And here we are, seven songs in and we’re almost making a mini movie. It’s really exciting, I’ve never done anything like this before.”
Elsewhere in the video clip, the “Anywhere” singer applied lip gloss so she could “get in the mood” for work.
“I can’t work in the studio without having a bit of glamour on, do you know what I mean?” she grinned.

The ‘Let You Love Me’ singer is determined to keep creating on ‘all platforms’ by taking on more film and television gigs and dabbling in fashion in addition to recording her music.

AceShowbiz – Rita Ora doesn’t want her creativity to be “limited to one department.”
The “Let You Love Me” hitmaker is primarily a singer but she has also done some acting and television work, too, and she would like to continue to take on different jobs like Madonna and Marilyn Monroe.
Speaking about her diverse career, she told Britain’s The Sun newspaper, “I’ve had 13 top ten singles in the U.K. without being born here, and only hard work got me here – along with the support of my family, friends and fans. So I’m determined to keep going. I want to do more films, more TV and more fashion.”
“I want to create on all platforms because I grew up watching my idols like Madonna, Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, Cher and Marilyn Monroe. They showed you don’t have to stick to one thing, you can do everything. Creating isn’t limited to one department – and that’s what I love about what I do.”

And the singer can’t wait to get back on out on the road and perform.
Of her music career, she added, “The highlight of being a musician has always been performing. There is nothing more rewarding than touring and playing live. Working with David Guetta has been an amazing experience. He’s fantastic and so professional. He says work comes first, nothing else matters apart from your work, which he is so right about – and good work always stands out.”
Rita has come under fire in the past for her style choices but she insists she doesn’t care what other people think and says it is a “totally personal thing.”
“I really think style is a totally personal thing – if someone doesn’t like something I wear, they don’t have to, that’s totally fine,” she insisted. “What’s important is I just need to feel confident about me and how I feel – that’s all that matters to me. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.”

AceShowbiz – Rita Ora sparked concern on Thursday night (04Feb21) when she deleted her entire Instagram grid, before returning just hours later to announce the upcoming release of a new EP.
The “Hot Right Now” star caught the attention of her fans by getting rid of every single picture on her Instagram page, but then teased her comeback by posting a promotional picture for her new record “Bang”.

Rita told fans she had teamed up with Kazakh DJ Imanbek and French star David Guetta for her latest offering, which will drop 12 February (21).
In a second post, the singer is seen wearing a barely-there leotard and wet look hair as she seductively winks to the camera and bites her tongue.

Rita’s decision to erase her Instagram page and start again came after she reportedly lost 200,000 followers on the social media site due to her rule-breaking during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.
The singer was so desperate to celebrate her 30th birthday and socialise, she invited friends to join her at Casa Cruz on 28 November (20) – just four days before London’s second lockdown was lifted.
The bash was busted by police and venue officials were heavily fined, a cost Ora took care of as she issued a public apology for her “serious and inexcusable error of judgment.”
She’s now in Australia, where she is quarantining in a hotel for 14 days ahead of reprising her judging role on “The Voice Australia”.

A radio DJ in a U.K. station has refused to play any of the ‘Hot Right Now’ singer’s music after she violated coronavirus guidelines for hosting a party with a group of friends.

AceShowbiz – Pop star Rita Ora’s illegal birthday party during the U.K.’s coronavirus lockdown has prompted one local radio host to take her music off his breakfast show playlist.
Radio Exe DJ Ben Clark has chosen to blacklist the “Anywhere” hitmaker after she and a group of friends gathered at a London restaurant to celebrate her 30th birthday over the weekend (28Nov20), in a breach of the government’s ban on parties and social occasions.
After playing her song “I Will Never Let You Down” on Tuesday, Clark told listeners he won’t be playing any more of Rita’s music in the future during his slot on the station, based in Devon, England.

Speaking on air, he vowed, “I can’t speak for any other Radio Exe presenter, but as of now, for the foreseeable future, I’m not playing any of her songs.”
“You can’t get your head round it can you? The mind boggles. My 11-year-old daughter said to me the other night, ‘Dad, can one of my friends come round after school?’ ‘No! We’re in a lockdown!’ If an 11 year old can get her (head) round it then surely Rita can… If you’re a big Rita Ora fan I’m sure even you can see where I’m coming from.”
The DJ’s decision comes after Rita paid a hefty fine following the Metropolitan Police investigation into the event that took place at the Casa Cruz restaurant in London on Saturday.
Ora also took to social media to apologise for her “serious and inexcusable” error of judgement amid the coronavirus crisis, and has since pulled out of a planned TV appearance on Britain’s “The Jonathan Ross Show”.
