Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has claimed the Strictly curse is “impossible” this year.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the current series of the BBC show is being filmed under very different circumstances.
Appearing on this week’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show alongside fellow judge Motsi Mabuse, the 55-year-old commented on the alleged curse.
“That’s going to be very difficult this year isn’t it… they’re still not allowed to go to each other’s houses. You’re not sharing a house,” he explained.
Comedian Rob Beckett, who was also a guest on the episode, chimed in: “And the pubs are shut. It’s so hard to have an affair these days…it’s impossible, you can’t do it.”

Craig then added: “There was never a curse in the first place, let’s be honest. There was a blessing.
“I’ve been waiting for the curse to happen to me, but it had to happen on Tinder. I sit there on my judging desk hoping maybe someone would come up to me…”
Strictly has hit the headlines in previous years when pros have been spotted getting cosy with their celeb partners.

There’s also been several romances to come out of the show – including Gorka Márquez and Gemma Atkinson, Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev, and Kristina Rihanoff and Ben Cohen.
During his appearance on the ITV chat show, Craig also said he had been campaigning for same-sex pairing on the show for years.
The 2020 series of Strictly sees it happening for the first time as Nicola Adams has been partnered with Katya Jones.

“It’s fantastic. I’ve been waving this flag for five years, I really have tried to get same-sex couples on there. A lot of people are averse to it,” Craig said.
“People dance together, you just have to decide who is going backward at any one time.”
Motsi added: “I wouldn’t judge them differently. For me, let me say I think it’s about time that we’ve got some inclusiveness in the show.
“They’re [Katya and Nicola] having fun and dancing is dancing…if she [Nicola] doesn’t straighten her knees it doesn’t matter what she likes, or what she doesn’t like, she needs to straighten her knees in cha-cha.”
