Demi Lovato tonight took the Hard Rock Miami stadium by storm when she performed the American national anthem ahead of the Super Bowl 2020 game.
The former Disney star, 27, predicted she would sing The Star-Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl – over 10 years ago.
Tweeting on February 7th, 2010, Demi said: “One day, I’m gonna sing the national anthem at a super bowl. Onnnee dayyy….”
Demi remembered her tweet, sharing a screenshot alongside the caption: “Dreams really do come true y’all” – she also shared a marketing snap for her performance.
At the time of her tweet, Demi was a 17-year-old Disney star, starring in Sonny With A Chance.
Since her time as a child star, Demi has shot to international fame with hits such as Skyscraper, Heart Attack and Sorry Not Sorry.
Fans instantly gushed in the comment section of her post, with one having tweeted: “This is so inspiring. We love you.”
A second added: “You can be proud of yourself and what you have accomplished.”
While a third exclaimed: “You deserve all the world and it’s just beginning. I love and proud of you so much!”
During her performance, Christine Sun Kim signed the national anthem in American Sign Language, on behalf of the National Association of the Deaf.
This year’s Super Bowl show will see The Kansas City Chiefs go head-to-head with San Francisco 49ers.

The famous halftime show will feature performances from Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, who have both lived in the Florida city.
Super Bowl isn’t the only sporting event Demi has belted out The Star-Spangled Banner.
At the age of 16, she sang the iconic song at a Dallas Cowboys game, while her mum was once a cheerleader for the team.
