Lisa Snowdon says she felt 'pressured' over scantily-clad I'm A Celeb showers

Lisa Snowdon has revealed she felt “pressured” and “exposed” to strip down to a teeny bikini to shower for infamous scenes on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The 48-year-old model and TV presenter has spoken out on the raunchy scenes in the jungle four years after she starred on the ITV show in 2016.

Lisa has admitted she didn’t feel comfortable showering under the waterfall as the world watched her scrub her body in a tiny bikini.

The show’s racy segments have seen celebs strip to bikinis since the show first aired back in 2002 and has seen the likes of Katie Price strip beneath it.

Speaking to the Mail Online, she said: “When we did it, none of us wanted to get in the shower because we knew that the cameras were there.

“We were like ‘Oh no, we’re going to be in the shower shot’ so we put it off for as long as possible in my year.

“There was quite a lot of pressure – you feel massively exposed. We definitely delayed it for as long as we could until we were really, really reeking.”

And she’s not the only contestant as last year’s star Kate Garraway also admitted she hated it.

Kate recalled how her, Jacqueline Jossa and Nadine Coyle would cover the cameras while they showered because they were “embarrassed” about their bodies.

The 53-year-old star told The Sun: “It started off us trying to block each other in the shower. By the end of it, you’re just rubbing away and shaving.

“You think, ‘I’m never going in that shower. It’s too embarrassing’, but it is the only way to wash. So at some point you’ve got to go in.”

It comes after Lisa and her fiancé George Smart went into self-isolation in March after they displayed symptoms of the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Lisa took to her official Instagram at the time to say that she and George were feeling “wiped out”.

In a video which was titled “Coronavirus-Isolation Day 4”, she said: “George started feeling ill on Friday evening, but you kind of have to work out your symptoms yourself.

“There’s a checklist of coronavirus symptoms but different people have different symptoms I’m finding.

“George had a fever on Friday and luckily I had a Peppa Pig thermometer in the first aid kit that I bought years ago for the kids.

“I took his temperature and it was raging high, really scary high, and I thought it was flu. He had a headache, he didn’t have a cough, he had a fever.”
