Rapper slowthai came under fire following his lewd comments towards Katherine Ryan at Wednesday nights NME Awards at the O2 Brixton.
After his controversial comments, the 25-year-old rapper proceeded to get into a scrap with a fan, pouncing off the stage and into the audience.
The star was halfway through his acceptance speech on the stage when a member of the audience shouted at him, resulting in the rapper throwing a glass of champagne into the crowd before launching himself at a man in the audience.
Not holding back, he replied: “Thank you for ruining my speech, thank you very much. Wasteman.”

slowthai, real name Tyron Kaymone Frampton proceeded to throw his microphone into the crowd, only for it be thrown back at him by the angry crowd.
Resulting in slowthai walking to the edge of the stage to confront the man who threw it.
He later went on to tweet that his actions were “shameful” and asked NME to apologise to Katherine for his comments.
The Sun Online published that they approached the star at his mum’s home in Northampton but he “cowered behind the front door”.
They claim that slowthai initially refused to speak out, instead sending his cousin to the door but he eventually appeared to attempt to clear his name.
Speaking at the awards show, he said to Katherine: “You ain’t never had someone play with you liked I’d play with you,” before a fan labelled him a “misogynist”.

Denying accusations of sexual harassment, the Deal Wiv It star said: “She can tell you herself. She’s actually explained.
“It’s all there. You can make your judgement of what you make your judgement.”
He later went on to deny throwing a glass at a fan in the audience, saying: “[The fan] chucked something at me, I didn’t chuck a glass at anybody, the glass went to the floor.”
Contrary to this, footage shows him throwing a glass into the crowd.
Earlier in the day, he took to Twitter saying: “@nme please forward my award to @kathbum for she is the hero of the year. what started as a joke between us escalated to a point of shameful actions on my part.
“i want to unreservedly apologise, there is no excuse and I am sorry. i am not a hero.”

The rapper went on to say: “katherine, you are a master at your craft and next time i’ll take my seat and leave the comedy to you. to any woman or man who saw a reflection of situations they’ve been in in those videos, i am sorry.
“i promise to do better. let’s talk here.”
Katherine, 36, replied saying: “I knew you were joking and congratulations on your very award-worthy album! I hope you know that a bad day on social media passes so quickly.
“Everything will be better tomorrow. Xx.”
