Rebel Wilson ‘s determination to show off her new ‘hot’ body has left her ‘swollen and bruised’ after an impromptu photoshoot on the beach went wrong.
The Pitch Perfect actress, 40, took to social media to explain to fans that she was posing for some snaps on the golden sands of Mexico when her friend’s handbag was whisked out to sea.
Racing to retrieve the bag Rebel fell and ended up crashing into some rocks.
Speaking via her Instagram story, the Hollywood starlet said: “OK guys, there’s been a little bit of a massive incident.
“We’re here in Mexico and we were taking hot photos out at the beach.

“Unfortunately while we were doing that, Nicole’s handbag washed into the ocean.
“It had her passport in it, which she’s currently drying.
“Then I’m like ‘I’ll get it!’ because we gotta fly today.
“And then I got pretty banged up.”
The Hustle actress went on to detail her injuries.
Rebel added: “Basically my left boob took most of the impact and it’s going to be very swollen and bruised and I was scraped down my stomach when I hit into the rock.
“So guys, warning, when you’re taking hot photos just be careful because the waves can get you. Be ocean safe.”
Ever the joker, Rebel quipped: “We got some incredible boomerangs though.”
Over the past 11 months the starlet has been on a serious health kick.
In total she is said to have lost 40lbs since the start of the year.
Sharing a snap of her working out on January 2, Rebel wrote: “Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called “The Year of Health” .

“So I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it!
“Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”
Rebel recently revealed her goal weight is 75kg (11.8 stone).
