Amanda Holden has been attacked by sceptical Twitter trolls after she gave her “irresponsible” top tips to beat the Coronavirus .
The 49-year-old Britain’s Got Talent judge was met with fierce backlash after she shared her advice as the disease continues to dominate the news.
Opting to use her voice, Amanda took to her official Twitter account to share her tips to her impressive 1.9million followers.
She tweeted: “The current mortality rate for the Coronavirus is 2% which is roughly equivalent to a common flu virus.
“The 24 hr incessant mainstream media has a lot to answer for creating such hysteria.”

She advised: “Wash your hands regularly and avoid touching your nose eyes and ears.”
Not long after she hit the publish button, the Heart Radio presenter and DJ was hounded by trolls who deemed her advice “irresponsible”.
Replying to her tweet, one troll hit out: “Really shouldn’t be tweeting this without research.”

A second tweeted: “You are not a scientist or a doctor, equating this to the common flu is beyond irresponsible.”
“I’ve been waiting for clarification from a professional source. Thank you so much Amanda,” another added.
A fourth responded: “Pretty irresponsible tweet. I’m a medic on the front line.”
The virus, which started in China, has now spread to at least 30 other countries and has killed over 2,800 people.
