Coronation Street fans spotted a Sally Metcalfe wardrobe slip-up during Wednesday’s first episode of the iconic soap.
During a scene in Dev Alahan’s shop, viewers realised Sally wasn’t wearing her trusted yellow rubber gloves.
Since the coronavirus pandemic was written into the ITV programme, Sally is rarely seen shopping without the gloves.
Viewers flocked to Twitter, wondering where her gloves had gone.
One said: “OK OK OK. Where’s Sally’s Marigolds gone??”
While another wrote: “#Corrie disappointed Sally’s now trademark yellow marigold rubber gloves not used now. Bring back miss marigold.”

“Sally has ditched the gloves”, penned a third.
A fourth added: “Calling the cops on Sally’s not wearing her yellow rubber gloves.”
“Sally knows how to live dangerously without her trusted marigolds! #Corrie”, joked another Corrie fan.
Fans were confused as to why Sally didn’t have the gloves as she hasn’t been taking any chances during the pandemic.

She seemed permanently attached to her marigold gloves until Wednesday’s episode.
A couple of weeks ago Sally was in the midst of a very serious conversation in Roy’s Roll with Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox), but fans were distracted by her gloves.
One said: “I love the way Sally wears marigolds wherever she goes now #Corrie.”

While another wrote: “Sally’s attached to those marigolds #Corrie.”
“Sally’s hands must be sweating in those marigolds #Corrie”, said another.
Fans know that Sally is married to Tim Metcalfe, the son of evil Geoff Metcalfe.
Tim finally found out what an evil person his father is after Sally found clips of him mentally abusing Yasmeen on his laptop.
Coronation Street continues Friday at 7.30pm on ITV.
