GMB Andi Peters suffers 'nightmare' TV fail as competition goes totally wrong

Good Morning Britain presenter Andi Peters was left red-faced today after his weekly competition ended in disaster on the ITV show today.

The veteran TV host holds a free weekly competition which sees one lucky GMB viewer bag £3,000.

According to the rules, you must answer your phone within three rings when Andi calls you live on air or he will hang up and move onto the next potential winner.

Usually, within the first couple of people someone answers their phone however, today was an exception.

After three people failed to pick up Andi panicked telling bosses he needed his iPad to generate a new winner.

Laughing, the star admitted he had only taken down three numbers as he didn’t think he needed more than three.

“This has never happend before, I’m running out of numbers, I only stored three numbers as I thought i wouldn’t need more than three numbers” he exclaimed before the camera cut to the ITV studio with Charlotte Hawkins and Adil Ray.

Looking shocked, Adil joked: “Call Charlotte’s number and I will give the money to you now.

Muttering as he tried to generate a new number, Andi continued: “Oh this is a nightmare.”

Buying for time, Charlotte pleaded: “Please if you entered please get by your phone ready to answer if Andi calls.”

Luckily, the fourth winner picked up on the second ring and she bagged herself £3,000.

Relieved, Andi visibly relaxed as he congratulated the winner who happily told him she was simply doing her weekly shop when the phone rang.

Turning to Adil, Charlotte sighed: “It’s brutal that competition… that’s never happened before though.”
