Good Morning Britain star Susanna Reid discussed “replacing” Piers Morgan today – as she embarks on her new TV venture.
The ITV presenting pair were discussing Susanna’s upcoming stint on Celebrity Gogglebox in which she’ll be joined by Judge Rinder.
Susanna revealed she had to watch “hours and hours” of TV for the show, before sharing her concerns about having “no control over the editing”.
She said: “You see, the benefit of doing a live programme is you’re always in control of what you say and what goes out.
“When you do a recorded programme, it’s in the hands of the editors.”

Piers added: “And as our friend Eamonn [Holmes] found out, the editing can be a bit savage, the editing process as they apologised to him.”
Holmes said he was “hurt beyond belief” that his emotional discussion about his dad’s death was replaced with “a funny story” on Celebrity Gogglebox.

As well as Susanna and Judge Rinder, stars such as Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, Roman Kemp and Martin Kemp and Denise Van Outen and partner Eddie Boxshall are appearing on the latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox.
Spandau Ballet legend turned Martin recently left his son red-faced on the show.
Martin reminisced about taking Roman on his first family holiday to Santa Barbara when he was just a couple of days old.

The former EastEnders said: “We were sitting by the swimming pool and there was this little bee that was trying to find somewhere to land and all of a sudden it was going round in circles and then just then it landed on your little willy.”
He added: “It was only tiny, I don’t even know how the bee saw it.”
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV, and Celebrity Gogglebox continues on Friday at 9pm on Channel 4
