Gogglebox fans concerned as Izzi Warner breaks down over coronavirus during filming

Gogglebox star Izzi Warner couldn’t hold back the tears on tonight’s episode, as she watched a news bulletin about the coronavirus .

The virus was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation earlier this week, sending the nation into a panic.

Watching the news from home with her sister Ellie Warner, mum-of-two Izzi started to panic about the outbreak.

Busting into tears, she said: “I can’t help the way I feel.”

Trying to laugh away her tears, she added: “I’m so stupid cause I’m laughing at myself but I can’t help the way I feel.”

Gogglebox fans were concerned for her, taking to their keyboards to assure the Channel 4 star they understood how she was feeling.

One said: “Got to admit, I’ve shed a few tears with worry.”

A second added: “I so relate to Izzi. The media put the fear of God into you about all of this. Not all of us can brush off a pandemic like it’s nothing.”

And a third added: “It’s important that we saw Izzi crying from being anxious about coronavirus. Millions of us are overwhelmed and frightened by what’s happening.”

Viewers reached out to Izzi over Twitter to let her know they understood her worry

Northern sisters Ellie and Izzi have been fan favourites on Gogglebox since their first appearance on the show back in 2015.

Earlier this year, Izzi revealed she had given birth to her second child, a little girl named Bessie Rose.

Breaking the happy news over social media, she said: “So pleased to announce the safe arrival of our darling baby girl Bessie Rose born on 3rd February 2020 1:44pm, weighing 7lb 3oz.
