Troy Sneed, a Grammy-nominated gospel singer, has died aged 52 after a battle with coronavirus.
His publicist, Bill Carpenter, said the singer died in the early hours yesterday at a hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Troy’s pal KD Bowe also confirmed the news on social media.
Alongside a snap of the pair, he said: “I don’t know how to make sense of this.
“I’m not ok, man. Covid19 sucks. Will y’all please pray for Emily & the kids? Please?
“RIH, King. Or walk around it … all day. #RIPTroySneed.”
Sneed’s career kicked off during his time at university, where he studied education and music.
