Luther star Idris Elba is giving back to well-wishers who sent him kind messages when he was battling coronavirus by making a collage of pictures to help people get through the crisis.
The 47-year-old actor has taken to Twitter putting a call out for submissions from his followers for an “inspirational collage” to go along with Emanuel’s new song Need You.
In a video posted on Idris’ official Twitter account this evening, the TV star begins: “What’s up people? I hope you guys are ok.
“Thank you for your well wishes and concerns, we’re ok.
“I’m putting together this pictorial collage of the one thing people need to get through this time.”

Idris later goes on to reveal that he’s been learning a new skill while in quarantine, and wants to find out what his fans have been doing in lockdown.
Idris explains: “I’ve been learning to play the guitar, been playing Fifa, but I want to get a sense of what you guys are doing.
“It could be your partner, it could be the view from your window or it could be your favourite teacup.
“Send me a picture. I am putting together to this beautiful piece of music by Emanuel.

The former ‘Wire’ star and his wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba, both tested positive for the virus but have since had few symptoms and were keen to return to London from New Mexico but have been unable to get a flight.
He said in a video message posted to his social media channels last Tuesday: ”We’re both doing okay, still asymptomatic.
”We’ve passed the quarantine period but we’re a little bit stuck in limbo — we can’t get a flight back home. So we just have to sit still for a little bit.
”Other than that, we’re OK, and we’re so thankful for that. I think the worst of it has probably passed.”
