Jordan and Nathaniel met at a Vans store in Phoenix, Arizona in 2012, which was owned by the latter’s mother.

According to Stereogum, the two bonded over music and eventually met producer Parker through a mutual friend.

Last year in May, the trio released their self-titled debut album.

It received positive reviews, with Metacritic giving it a score of 75 out of 100, while a number of other outlets gave it an eight or nine out of 10.

Rapper Aminé, who collaborated with the trio on their album, shared a tribute to Jordan following the news.

He wrote: “Rest in power to the kindest soul and one of my favourite rappers. Love you Groggs.”

British indie band Kero Kero Bonito also shared a tribute, quote tweeting the announcement.

The group wrote: “We met Jordan when we played with Injury Reserve at Willamette in 2017. He was a memorably friendly and genuine person and with IR he made some of the best, most progressive hip-hop in recent memory.”
