Katy Perry appears to have collapsed during the filming of a recent episode of American Idol, as a teaser clip from the series shows her falling to the ground.
The panel of judges on the hit singing competition was directed to evacuate the studio after a gas leak threatened their health.
At the end of the clip, the 35-year-old I Kissed A Girl singer could be seen collapsing to the floor as the gas had made her lightheaded.
Airing this Sunday, People shared a clip from the upcoming episode, which takes place in a rustic log cabin in Oregon.
Katy turned to her fellow judges – Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan – and asked: “Do you guys smell gas?”
As Luke suggests that it might be “propane,” Katy adds: “It’s getting intense.”

Hello hitmaker Lionel suggested there was a leak, as country singer Luke continued: “We’re getting heavy propane.”
Refusing to stay indoors, Katy got up to leave, insisting she had “a slight headache from it”.
The crew were forced to intervene, suggesting the panel of celebrity judges evacuate the log cabin and head outdoors for fresh air.

Things took a turn for the worse at that point, as alarms started blasting throughout the building and the contestants were ordered outside.
A crew member announced: “Get up and follow me as quick as you can”.
Firefighters and ambulance crews were rushed to the site, arriving in the nick of time, as Katy declared: “I’m not feeling good.”

Falling to the ground, it is not yet known how Katy’s health was affected by the dangerous gas leak.
The episode is due to air on Sunday, February 23 at 8pm Eastern Time on the US network ABC.
