Liam Gallagher has opened up about life as a solo artist, and confessed he’s “gutted” about the lack of companionship while out on the road.
The singer discussed his time with his former band Oasis, admitting he prefers to be with his ex-bandmates, including estranged brother Noel Gallagher, because it was “all about having f**king craic”.
It’s been quite a rebirth for the Mancunian musician, with his second album Why Me? Why Not bagging the number one spot, and having enjoyed a recent sell-out UK tour.
But Liam confessed he envisioned enjoying all the success with a band, and not on his own.

“I’m gutted that I’m here doing this on my own,” he told NME magazine.
“I find this f**king boring, being on your own. I joined a band, so doing it with our kid and with Bonehead and the lads years ago was what I was into, was how I envisioned it.
“Being in a band – it was about the Roses, it was about The Beatles or The Stones or The Pistols. Not f**king sitting here like f**king Rick Astley or Julio fucking Iglesias, doing a solo interview.”

He added: “I always imagined us all being around, having a f**king craic. You know what I mean?”
Oasis, who released their career-defining album Definitely Maybe in 1994, played two-days at Knebworth in 1996.
Performing to 250,000, attendees the concerts defined an era, however, Liam admitted he could easily sell out another run at the Hertfordshire stomping ground.

“I could do it easy!” he told the publication.
“Knebworth – it would be a piece of piss to be perfectly honest,” he said. “And it’s definitely gonna happen.”
