It has been reported that the stars of Love Island 2020, will be tested for coronavirus ahead of entering the Majorcan villa.
Producers of the summer series, which is believed to be fronted by Laura Whitmore again, are reportedly making plans to ensure contestants are tested ahead of entering the villa to stop the spread of the virus.
“Producers are optimistic the series could go ahead, but they don’t want to take any risks with coronavirus spreading on set so are looking at testing contestants in advance,” a source alleged.

“Talk of hosting the show in the UK has been vetoed. There would be nothing more depressing than seeing lovers huddled under blankets and umbrellas and stomping around in wellies.”
The insider continued to The Sun: “But if lockdown restrictions are lifted soon crew will work towards an August or September start date.”
Daily Star Online has contacted a Love Island spokeswoman for comment.

The reports come after there was much speculation about where Love Island would be filmed this year, after there were claims that it would be filmed in London amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Show bosses shut down the UK-filming claims however, and said that it wouldn’t work, as the show is focused on the contestants frolicking around in their bikinis.

A source alleged to The Sun: “Reports that bosses are looking at London as an alternative are rubbish.
“Love Island is all about the sunshine and those skimpy outfits around the swimming pool as well as the sexual chemistry between the girls and boys.
“It has that holiday vibe which they just wouldn’t be able to ever replicate on a dreary Wednesday in September in London.”
