Love Island's Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard confirm split

Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard have confirmed they have broken up and gone their separate ways eight months after they met on Love Island .

The Dancing on Ice babe, 29, and professional dancer, 24, met on the ITV dating show and started dating after Curtis dumped Amy Hart for Maura.

Maura took to her official Instagram account to share the news to her heartbroken fans.

She wrote on her story: “Curtis and I have made the decision to separate.

“We enjoyed a great experience from our time in the villa and want to thank everyone for supporting our relationship.

“There is no easy way to get through a breakup and no bad feeling on either side.

“We tried to make it work but it wasn’t to be, and I wish Curtis nothing but the best for the future,” followed by a broken heart emoji.

According to MailOnline, a source said: “It’s going to be a tough time for Maura.

“She really tried to make things work with Curtis but unfortunately, they’ve gone their separate ways.

“Most of her family and close friends are in Ireland, which will make this time even more difficult for her.”

Over the last month, speculation had grown on whether the couple were or were not together after they were not seen together.

Their fans had worried the pair had split after they were pictured on separate nights out, despite both being in London at the same time.

Maura was seen partying with Love Island co-star Chris Taylor in Luxx nightclub, while Curtis was out with his The Greatest Dancer co-stars just seven miles away.

Their fans had been predicting that they had split amid their social media silence, as they also hadn’t posted about each other in weeks.
