Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan and former Brexit Party MEP Ann Widdecombe didn’t see eye to eye on this morning’s show, as they debated transport.
Ann insisted the healthy members of the public ought to return to work to revive the economy, using public transport if necessary in the return to work.
However, Piers argued that the healthy could potentially infect the more vulnerable in society, and urged the public to continue social distancing.
As the debate continued, voices were raised, with Ann eventually snapping: “Oi!”
It all kicked off when Piers asked whether Ann understood the government’s latest announcement, along with the new “stay alert” guidelines.

She said: “I understand them yes because the essence of it is is ‘stay alert’ as opposed to ‘stay at home’ and minimise the risk.
“Minimise the risks when you’re about and about you should and you must maintain social distance.”
Speaking over her, Piers said: “Let me ask you a couple of things.”

Ann was quick to shut him down, responding: “Let me speak! Piers stop interrupting when I’m trying to make a point please.”
When Piers continued speaking over her, the Devon-based politician added: “Hang on. Stop interrupting when I’m trying to make a point.”
Piers insisted he wasn’t interrupting, as he quipped: “I’m talking now, I wasn’t when you were shouting at me.”
Eventually, Piers remained quiet long enough for Ann to finish making her point, as she continued: “What I was saying was where you have no choice you’ve just got to use as many precautions as you can in that situation.
“We’ve expected that of key workers throughout this whole lockdown now the rest of us have got a role to play.”
Good Morning Britain airs on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
