Rapper FBG Duck has been shot dead in broad daylight.
The American rapper is believed to have been killed during a drive-by shooting in Chicago which left two others injured.
A spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department confirmed that at around 4.37pm local time, three people were shopping before a number of people stepped out of a car and opened fire.
A woman was also shot.
FBG was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after suffering gunshot wounds to his chest, groin and neck, according to reports.
YouTuber DJ Akademiks tweeted: “BREAKING: FBG DUCK pronounced dead at hospital after being shot in downtown Chicago.”
FBG Duck has died aged 26
This is the second time that the musician had been shot, after first being shot in his shoulder back in June 2018.
CBS Chicago said that witnesses on the scene heard “several gunshots” after two people got caught up in argument.
“I seen a guy in the black pullout a gun and he shot at the dude with the white shirt. And they both ran – the guy he was shooting at ran to the left, and the guy who was doing the shooting ran that way; ran towards Michigan Avenue,” said a witness.

The witness went on to say that around four minutes later, eight or nine more shots were head.
Former mayoral candidate Ja’Mal Green took to Twitter saying: “Popular rapper FBG Duck has just been pronounced dead after being shot in the Gold Coast an hour ago. Prayers up for his family, bring justice to them after this senseless act.”
He went on to add: “It hurts to watch Chicago’s young people watch not only their friends but their favourite rappers die from senseless gun violence. We really have to get our city together if we want to have a better future. Rest In Peace FBG Duck.”
Duck was shot for the first time back in 2018
Ja’Mal later went on to slam the Chicago Police Department in a blistering tweet reading: “Police neglected to offer basic medical aid to FBG Duck and I’m sure their excuse is going to be ‘Covid’.
“He laid there needing help and it took way too long for him to get help. How many black men and women die because of time every day after being shot? SICKENING!”
Fans have since taken to social media to share their condolences, with one tweeting: “Can’t believe FBG Duck’s been killed man, Chicago is another level of f**ked.”
A second added: “RIP to @FBG_DUCK my condolences to your friends and family! I am a proud fan of your music and hope they find who did this!”
“Damn rip fbg duck, one of the pioneers in the drill sh*t,” penned a third.
