Ashley Cain has took to social media to put to bed any questioning over his late daughter Azaylia’s £1.6million charity fund.
Keyboard warriors recently began to question what had happened to the large sum of money that was raised in his daughter’s name.
Hitting back at a “small percent” of people who had tiptoed over the donation subject, he insisted: “We won’t touch a penny of it.”
Some had even suggested that the money raised as part of the Azaylia Cain Foundation was being used by the family.
Wanting to set the record straight, Ashley explained: “I have been advised not to do this but I have always been a believer of being true to myself and speaking from the heart.
“There is a very, very small percentage of people that seem to have some form of hate and bitterness towards me and my situation.
“I don’t understand how you can be envious or bitter towards me and my situation because I’ve lost something that means more to me than my life itself.
“And every day is filled with heartache and pain.”
He went on: “Yet some people think it is viable to try and throw shade on what I am trying to do. So yeah, I am happy to speak.
“A little bit about the situation now and relating to some of the things that were said and that I hear.
“I actually got rid of my car during Azaylia’s fight so that we had enough money to survive.”
The reality TV star explained that he and his partner Safiyya Vorajee had sacrificed so much in order to give all of their time to their daughter who was dying – with no real income coming in at all during that time.
Speaking about the GoFundMe money, he continued: “We have no access to the funds at the charity set up, we declared this publicly and to GoFundMe themselves so that it was transparent to everybody that we could not use the money for any personal gains.
“This money is solely to raise awareness for children with cancer and for life saving treatments for these poorly children.”
Ashley continued: “Even though my outgoings were so high, I’ve actually used the remaining personal funds that I have to get this charity set up.
“That’s how much this really means to me, that’s why sometimes when I have these blind ignorant comments, I do not understand it.”
After Ashley and Safiyya took to social media to share their babies heartbreaking leukemia battle – expressing their need for an emergency operation in Singapore – their charity fund topped more than £1million in less than 24 hours.
Sadly for Azaylia, specialists quashed the trip after tumours were discovered all over her body.
The only option left for Ashley and Safiyya was to make their baby daughter as comfortable as possible at home.
