Comic Billy Connolly disappoints his sexologist wife Pamela Stephenson – because he lasts just seven seconds in bed.
The 78-year-old Scots comedy legend admits he does not pay attention to his 71-year-old spouse’s advice, which she dishes out on TV and columns.
He said in his book Windswept & Interesting: “My wife’s a sexologist – a rather limiting subject, I think. How can you study something that only lasts seven seconds?
“My own sexual demands are extremely simple: I like the missionary position – standing in a cook pot wearing a safari suit, looking towards Africa. Is that too much to ask??!”
Billy admits that before he tied the knot he was terrible with women, because he could never read the signs as to whether a girl liked him or not.
He explained: “I have always had a problem with sex. Not the sex itself so much – more the beginning bit. I was never any good at chatting women up. I didn’t know when it was working.”
But he added: “Sex is a very, very important thing. Terrible stuff happens when people are f***less.”
He explained that he has always struggled with reading signs and recognizing when women are interested in him.
He added: “I don’t know if I was lousy at it and saying the wrong things, or being too funny or silly. But I could just never read the signs. I didn’t know when it was working.
“When a woman was on my case I didn’t see it. I couldn’t get the message. My friends used to tell me: ‘She’s mad for you.’ ‘Who?’ ‘The one over there.’ ‘What one?’”
Sir Billy’s audiobook will be released on October 14 on Audible, and fans were loving seeing the comedian, who has Parkinson’s, looking so well while reading it.
They tweeted: ‘Still the funniest man I have seen live. Was a privilege to see him in the Empire all those years ago and good to see he is still fighting the good fight against PD.’

The comedian first revealed he had the condition in 2013, heartbreakingly admitting later he felt his life was “slipping away”.
Now this week he’s said the degenerative disease has him sleeping like a “wild animal” with disturbed sleeping patterns that have forced him into sleeping in a separate bed from his wife of 30 years.
