Bob Odenkirk’s son has confirmed the actor is in a stable condition after being hospitalised.
The 58-year-old actor played Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and its spin-off Better Call Saul.
He collapsed on set the set of Better Call Saul in New Mexico on July 27.
At the time, it’s reported that he had been shooting a scene for the show but became unwell and crew members attended to him.
He was then taken to a Los Angeles hospital by an ambulance where he received treatment.
Offering an update on Twitter, Nate Odenkirk simply tweeted: “He’s going to be okay.”
A rep for the star confirmed he is in a stable condition to TMZ, and has thanked staff at the hospital for looking after him.
They said: “We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart related incident.
“He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, 2as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side.
“The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery.”
TMZ reports that the star is now awake, lucid and on the rebound after his sudden collapse.
After news broke of Bob’s hospitalisation, friends, co-stars and fans flooded social media with well-wishes.
Bob’s Breaking Bad co-star Bryan Cranston took to Instagram to share a throwback snap of the pair of them and wrote to his fans to send their prayers.
He penned: “Today I woke up to news that has made me anxious all morning. My friend, Bob Odenkirk collapsed last night on the set of Better Call Saul.
“He is in the hospital in Albuquerque and receiving the medical attention he needs but his condition is not known to the public as yet.
“Please take a moment in your day today to think about him and send positive thoughts and prayers his way, thank you.”
Aaron Paul, who starred on the show as Jesse Pinkman, also posted a message on his Instagram.
Alongside a close-up snap of Bob, he wrote: “I love you my friend.”
Better Call Saul is currently in production for its sixth and final series.
