The couple, who have been dating for more than four years, first met on the set of her Slumber Party music video in October 2016.

Here we take a look at the Stronger singer’s net worth amid the engagement news.

Britney Spears net worth

Britney Spears is worth an estimated £50.6million, according to wealth website Celebrity Net Worth.

This number has increased since 2020, when Forbes reviewed court documents showing Britney had £40.8million invested in various brokerage accounts, businesses and real estate – and the rest in cash.

Britney has been able to make this eye-watering amount of money through her three-decade-long career as a pop star.

She is one of the world’s most successful artists, having sold nearly 150 million records worldwide.

The singer also embarked on 10 major tours, where she was able to claim a seven-figure salary per night, according to Forbes.

Britney also had a four-year residency in Las Vegas that crossed $137.77million (£100million), in total, according to Caesars Entertainment.

In addition, she also managed to bring in millions more through brand deals and endorsements.

Although Britney’s lucrative career brought in millions, like most stars an estimated 25% of her gross income went to her agents, managers and lawyers.

Britney’s case is also different to other stars, because she has not been in control of her financial affairs since 2008, under a court-enacted agreement.

The conservator arrangement originally gave the singer’s father Jamie Spears control of her life and finances.

Britney has attempted to remove him from the role twice in the past two years, and has refused to perform while remaining under the conservatorship.

However, in recent developments, Britney’s father Jamie has formally filed to end the conservatorship.

A filing submitted to the Los Angeles Superior Court read: “Recent events related to this conservatorship have called into question whether circumstances have changed to such an extent that grounds for establishment of a conservatorship may no longer exist.

“Ms Spears has told this Court that she wants control of her life back without the safety rails of a conservatorship.

“As Mr Spears has said again and again, all he wants is what is best for his daughter.

“If Ms Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr Spears believes that she should get that chance.”
