Despite being a part of the franchise for almost seven years, interiors and property guru Dawn Ward will not be returning for the 13th series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
Those who follow Dawn on Instagram may already be aware that the star made the announcement of her departure from the show in December.
Dawn, 47, has been a part of ITVBe’s reality series since it began in 2015 but the housewife confirmed that she will no longer join the other ladies on the show as she plans to concentrate on projects with her family.
Taking to Instagram in December, the mother of four said: “Having been on the real housewives of Cheshire for almost 7 years and 12 seasons, I’ve had the most incredible journey, not just me, but my whole family. It really has been amazing for us.
“Season 12 has now come to an end and filming has finished. It’s been difficult this season with the pandemic but the cast and our amazing production team have pulled it off again, it’s been fun!
“Everyone who knows me knows I’m all about my family, so I’ve decided that after 12 seasons on the show I would like to concentrate on projects with them.”
The star also gave her thanks to ITV and the production as a whole.
“I am so grateful to ITV, Monkey Kingdom and all the amazing cast over the years past and present!
“Most importantly the amazing fans for their incredible support.
“It’s a great show and will only go from strength to strength as it’s done since season 1.
“I want to wish everyone involved on the show the best of luck and I can’t wait to tune in for season 13! Once again thank you so much for all your support, you really have been incredible.”
A spokesperson for ITV said: “Dawn has been an iconic member of the cast since The Real Housewives of Cheshire launched on ITVBe in 2015.
“We’d like to thank her and her family for sharing their lives with us and wish them all the very best for the future.”
Since she made the announcement of her departure, Dawn also revealed that her eldest daughter Darby is having her first baby with her fiance Michael Corrado Jackson.
This will be Dawn and her ex-husband Ashley’s first grandchild.
ITVBe’s docudrama The Real Housewives of Cheshire made a highly anticipated return onto screens on Monday night.
New housewife Debbie Davies joins the ladies as Dawn Ward’s replacement.
