EastEnders viewers have shared their joy after Honey and Suki’s bond has continued to progress, with some claiming that they are “here” for their relationship.
It comes after actress Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar, opened up about their close bond after the Minute Mart owner let her guard down to Honey, played by Emma Barton.
During Monday night’s episode, viewers were treated to a glimpse of Honey and Suki’s escalating friendship as the pair shared a glass of wine while cooking.
Suki was left blushing as Honey showcased her Bollywood dance skills in the kitchen as she teased Honey, saying that she was “very talented”.
However, as their get together continued, Honey noted that Suki was drinking red wine, a rarity for the Panesar matriarch.
“One every now and again doesn’t hurt,” she told her colleague who joked that it was a “special occasion”.
As they continued to cook, fans couldn’t help but notice that Suki caught several glances at her friend while beaming from ear to ear.
Taking to Twitter, viewers couldn’t help but share their joy as they watch their relationship blossom.
“I am so here for Honey and Suki,” said one.
While another added: “When are Honey and Suki gonna get it on… I’m feeling the vibes.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Suki smile so much!” said a third.
Before a fourth tweeted: “I can’t be the only one picking up on the sapphic tension between Suki and Honey.”
“Suki’s got the taste for Honey,” joked a fifth.
Balvinder recently opened up to Metro.co.uk about her character’s relationship with Honey.
“Honey has seen Suki in her most demonic state and still casts no judgement and says yes you are this closed person but you are worthy of love, and I think she has unlocked something that is really beautiful,” she said.
She went on to tell the publication: “I don’t think she has ever had a friend like Honey.
“She is a one-woman kind of army and does everything herself, she doesn’t ask anyone else as she only trusts herself.
“So it’s interesting to see Suki warm up and melt in the company of Honey, which is nice and feels lovely.”
In scenes set to air tomorrow night, Suki and Honey venture out of Albert Square as they attend the Pride of Walford Awards together, the first time Suki has gone out with a neighbour.
During the awards show the pair end up tipsy and laughing about the event as their friendship continues to blossom.
EastEnders continues on BBC One on Tuesday at 7.30pm
