Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott was hospitalised after a suicide attempt on July 30, according to TMZ.
It comes as cops and emergency workers reportedly received a call of a suicidal person at 46-year-old Kim’s Michigan home in the United States.
Kim and 48-year-old Eminem, who is one of the most famous rappers in the world, share their daughter Hailie Jade, 25.
Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers III, also adopted Kim’s daughter Whitney, 18, from a past relationship, and Kim’s late twin sister Dawn’s daughter Alaina, 27.
Kim was taken into hospital to undergo a medical and psychological evaluation, it was claimed, but is now at home recovering.
It follows her car crash in 2016, which she later admitted was an attempt at ending her own life.
She told Detroit’s Channel 995 radio show, Mojo in the Morning: “It was intentional.
“I never expected to make it out alive.”
“Yeah, I can pay bills. Yeah, I can get my kids whatever they ask for and it’s great to see them happy. But you lose friends, you lose family, you have no one you can trust you can speak to.”
She added: “Just because we have money, that it makes us happy.”
In January 2016, just a few months later, Kim’s twin sister Dawn Scott was found dead after a heroin overdose.
Kim and Eminem married back in 1999, but later divorced just two years later after their deeply troubled relationship.
The pair remarried in January 2006 but they split again in April.
However, Eminem’s relationship with Kim remained high-profile as he frequently rapped about their turbulent time together.
The star has gone into explicit detail about their romance, and even even rapped about killing his former lover, in songs such as Kim (2000) and Bonnie and Clyde.
In the 1998 track, ’97 Bonnie and Clyde, for example, the song details Eminem taking daughter Hailie for a ride with Kim in the trunk of his car – and dumping her in a lake.
Although, the star did later apologise to Kim and called himself a “scumbag” for the way he treated her during their love affair.
In his 2017 song Bad Husband, he said: “I’m sorry, Kim, more than you could ever comprehend. Leaving you was f**king harder than sawing off a f**king body limb.”
Legal battles also arose between the pair, as Kim took Eminem to court to try to prevent him from rapping about her anymore, and she sought $10million in compensation for the “intentional infliction of emotional distress”.
She also tried to stop him from having any custody of Hailie – who was four at the time.
The pair reached a settlement in the case and agreed to joint legal custody of Hailie.
