Hollywood A Lister George Clooney revealed he once played a shocking prank on his fellow actor friend and flatmate Richard Kind – when he pooed in his cat’s litter tray.
When George was a jobbing actor way before he got famous, the Ocean’s Eleven star was forced to move into Richard’s one-bed apartment with his pet cat after breaking up with his girlfriend.
The 59-year-old shared the very bizarre anecdote about boredom getting the better of him in his early career on the Smartless podcast – hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes.
With “nothing to do” and often being stuck within Richard’s four walls with nothing but a furry feline for company, George randomly decided to start using the litter tray as a means of pranking his flatmate.
“He [Richard] was working and I’m waiting for an audition, and I go into the bathroom and there’s a kitty litter box next to the toilet and it’s got cat s**t in it,” the actor recalled. “And I scoop it up and I flush it down the toilet.”
The games started small, because George simply decided not to “say anything” when a puzzled Richard came home and wondered why his beloved pet hadn’t “taken a s**t in three days”.
Laughing, George admitted he didn’t “know why” he didn’t ‘fess up to flushing the faeces, but things quickly escalated from there.
“And the next day, the cat takes a s**t, I flush it down the toilet and Richard checks, and it goes on for like three or four or five days,” the ER star continued.
The Broadway actor eventually became understandably worried about his furry friend, and took it to the vet surgery.
The vet gave the cat some laxatives to try at first, which ended up with the poor animal “s****ing 15 times a day” and George cleaning it all up.
As things got really weird, the dad-of-two explained: “Then the light bulb goes off, and I realise what I must do… Which is take a s**t in the cat box.
“Now, there is this moment, when I’m squatted down over a cat box, where I’m going, ‘Really?!'”
Luckily for Richard’s cat, the actor finally found out what was going on when his flatmate couldn’t hold his poker face any more.
Overjoyed with excitement his beloved pet had finally managed to defecate but confused as to why George was in hysterics, the penny finally dropped.

George added: “He realises I’ve been shovelling the cat s**t out and he gets madder and madder,” with Richard finally shouting: “I understand humour, defecation doesn’t make me laugh.”
