Good Morning Britain anchor Richard Madeley has slammed American rapper, Nicki Minaj, following her recent claims surrounding the Covid-19 vaccines.
The rapper has found herself at the centre of a feud between Boris Johnson and Professor Chris Whitty following her bizarre claims.
However, Richard was less than impressed after Nicki whose real name is Onika took to Twitter, claiming a relative became impotent after receiving the coronavirus vaccination.
The veteran broadcaster said: “What an idiot, she has no comprehension that, that ridiculous tweet does do real damage.”
Her comments have attracted widespread criticism on the social media platform since her original post.
Nicki, 38, posted a series of tweets to her 22 million followers claimed: “My cousin in Trinidad won’t get the vaccine cuz his friend got it & became impotent. His testicles became swollen.
“His friend was weeks away from getting married, now the girl called off the wedding. So just pray on it & make sure you’re comfortable with ur decision, not bullied.”
Following her posts, England’s chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty said during a Downing Street press conference last night: “I regret to say, I think they know that they are peddling untruths but they still do it, in my view, they should be ashamed.”
Her comments didn’t go unnoticed with many high profiled names taking to social media to criticise the Starships musician who later used her platform to hit out at the likes of Laura Kuenssberg, Piers Morgan and Boris Johnson.
During the press conference, Boris Johnson said he wasn’t as clued up on Nicki’s discography “as he should be” – which appeared to infuriate Nicki who lashed out on Twitter.
Sharing a voice note on her Twitter page in a British accent, she dropped several bizarre claims, saying: “Yes. Hello, Prime Minister Boris! It’s Nicki Minaj, I was just calling to tell you that I thought you were so amazing on the news this morning.”
“I’m actually British, I was born there, I, I went to university there, I went to Oxford, I went to school with Margaret Thatcher and she told me so many nice things about you.”
She continued: “I’d love to send you my portfolio of my work since you don’t know much about me – I’m a big big star in the United States.”
President Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor has also dismissed Nicki’s claims when asked if there is any evidence to suggest that the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccines can cause reproductive issues in men and women, Dr Anothony Fauci said: “The answer to that Jake is a resounding no. There’s no evidence that it happens.”
