Gordon Ramsay won't be leaving a penny of his fortune to his kids

Being the children of a world-famous chef isn’t as glamorous as it may seem as Gordon Ramsay has some brutal parenting rules.

Gordon is known for his savage culinary style in the kitchen, taking no prisoners on shows like Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares.

Gordon and wife Tana are parents to five kids – 22-year-old Megan, 21-year-old twins Jack and Holly, 19-year-old Tilly, and 2-year-old Oscar.

At home he is just as strict with his kids as he is in the kitchen, from denying them handouts to making them fly economy, Gordon’s parenting techniques are revealed.

Fans were shocked back in 2017 when Gordon revealed that he wouldn’t be leaving them a penny of his fortune.

Speaking to the Telegraph, he said, “It’s definitely not going to them, and that’s not in a mean way; it’s to not spoil them,” he said.

“The only thing I’ve agreed with Tana is that they get a 25% deposit on a flat, but not the whole flat.”

He added: “I’ve never been really turned on about the money. That’s not my number one objective and that’s reflected in the way the kids are brought up.”

He surprised fans again when he revealed that he wouldn’t help his kids work in his restaurants.

Speaking on US radio, he said, “It’s like not employing the kids. I don’t want the staff thinking: “F*** it’s Ramsay’s kid, we can’t tell them off. You want to work in this business? You f***k off to another chef, learn something different and come back with something new to improve the business.”

Gordon doesn’t let up even when it comes to family holidays, making his children fly economy, or “cattle class”.

He told The Mirror: “I have got to keep it real with the kids, and also I think just getting kids at the age of five, six and seven, used to first-class and those big seats, they do not need the space, they get entertainment on their iPads.

He even has a swearing ban for the kids, separating work and home with his language.

Gordon said: “Swearing is industry language. For as long as we’re alive it’s not going to change. You’ve got to be boisterous to get results.

“They know I’ve said bad words. I say it is an industry language. They don’t swear. They don’t walk around shouting the f-word.”
