Harry Potter fans will remember for her role as Ron Weasley’s beautiful date Padma Patil to the Yule Ball in the Goblet of Fire back in 2005.
But since the film franchise ended 20 years ago, Afshan Azad has left her acting days behind her and recently became a proud mum to her beautiful daughter Kazi back in July.
The 33-year-old film star became an integral part of Dumbledore’s Army during the fourth film when she played the role of Gryffindor student Padma Patil alongside her identical twin sister Parvati Patil.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the infamous magical book and film series, the starlet took to Twitter to pass on her best wishes to Potterheads who are rewatching the films in honour of the event.
As she reflected over her time on the successful movie, Afshan shared her devotion to the film series when it premiered for the first time in 2001.
She penned: “When the Philosophers Stone film came out I was sucked into the magical world like every other kid.
“Little did I know years later I’d audition for a role that would change me entire life upside down.
“I owe everything to @jk_rowling, the casting agents and the Potter films. #20.”
The actress shared a throwback snap from backstage on the film set at the age of 13 dressed in the classic Hogwarts school uniform.
The bright-eyed star looked worlds away from her grown-up glamour that she dons in more recent years between tending to her beautiful daughter’s needs.
She also took to Instagram to share her experience in the fourth film alongside fellow stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
She added: “Happy 20 years Potterheads. Honoured to be a small part in such an incredible world.
“My journey started on the 4th film but I still miss everyone and everything to do with filming everyday for 8 years on these incredible films.
“Thank you to the best fans in the world for keeping the magic alive 20 years on. I owe everything to these films. #20YearsOn.”
It comes after HBO Max confirmed a jam-packed reunion to commemorate The Philosopher’s Stone turning 20 this year.
