I'm A Celeb's Frankie Bridge's marriage: Celeb intro, sneaky sex and living with parents

Frankie Bridge is one of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’s ten contestants this year and as she roams around the ITV castle, we take a look inside her spicy married life.

Funnily enough, the former Premier League footballer competed in the popular reality series back in 2016, and now it’s his popstar wife’s turn.

The husband and wife duo were once dubbed the new Posh and Becks, after meeting as a successful footballer and top hitmaker, but apparently, that couldn’t be further than the truth.

The couple prefers cosy nights in and have avoided fancy football parties over the years, with each other both swapping boozy nights out for chilled sofa sessions.

But now, as Frankie gears up for Bushtucker trials, Wayne will be left watching without her and sat by their two kids in their luxury Surrey pad instead.

So, let’s take a look at how she met her beau and their lavish family life…

New beginnings

Frankie, 32, and Wayne, 41, began dating over a decade ago back in 2010. Yep, we’re not sure where that time has gone either…

The pair were introduced by mutual friend celeb pal James Corden, who grabbed their phones and put each other’s numbers in them.

During Wayne’s I’m A Celeb stint, he said: “He got her phone, put my number in it and then put her number in my phone.

“And then we basically text a little bit, and just ended up going for dinner.”

Upon meeting Wayne, Frankie had just been through a messy public break-up with McFly’s Dougie Poynter, and Wayne had his love life splashed across the papers the year before.

The couple dated for over three years before Wayne popped the question and they tied the knot in 2014.

The couple turned down numerous magazine deals as they wanted the day for their own.

The ceremony took place at the magical Woburn Abbey in Bedfordshire and boasted a star-studded guest list including Frankie’s bandmates; Una Foden, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King and Vanessa White.

Family fun

The Loose Women star is also stepmother to Wayne’s eldest child Jaydon, 14, who he shares with his previous partner model Vanessa Perroncel.

A strange thing about the couple’s setup is that they live with Wayne’s parents Wendy and Mick.

In a recent interview, Frankie said: “Everyone is obsessed with them living with us, but I don’t know any different.”

“They’ve not always lived with us, but they’ve always been around.”

Despite the family’s Surrey mansion being bigger than most, Frankie confessed: “Obviously we all get on each other’s nerves sometimes.”

But also admits that the unconventional setup helps her feel less mum guilt when she goes out.

She added: “They have a great relationship with their grandparents and my guilt when I leave them is a lot less.”

“My nan and grandad looked after us when I was young while my parents worked.”

Sex life

One thing that’s undeniable in the pair’s partnership is that the spark between them still burns bright.

A source revealed to The Sun: “In the early stages, Wayne kept himself to himself, and was uncomfortable talking about his relationship with Frankie.”

“But it’s a sign of how secure he is now that he’s happy to share intimate secrets about his wife, and how much he still fancies her.”

In the ITV jungle, Wayne revealed sex was still a daily event in the Bridge household and earlier this year he stated: “She still makes me stand to attention.”

But like most couples with kids, they have less private time than they once had, with Wayne also confessing that lockdown was a struggle.

The former footballer said: “Bedtime’s become harder so [sex] has become a daytime thing.”

“But that’s also been quite tough because of homeschooling.”
