Jesy Nelson has signed to global management firm YMU confirming her new solo career after weeks of speculation.
The 29-year-old popstar said she was excited to start her “next chapter” but refused to open up on any more details about new music.
She said: “I am so excited to join YMU and can’t wait to start my next chapter.”
Mary Bekhait, group CEO of YMU, added: “Jesy has enjoyed incredible success as a recording artist and performer and is well placed to further her remarkable career.
“She is a hugely talented, versatile and authentic artist with a strong creative vision, and we are looking forward to helping her realise that.”
Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from the songstress and in the past few weeks she has been teasing them with hints of her latest tracks.
Recently she has posted several Instagram pictures of herself in the recording studio and captioned her posts with what fans have guessed are song lyrics.
One fan begged: “Don’t be shy leak something we’re desperate.”
“Jesy please give us a little hint we really can’t wait,” asked another.
In response to one lucky fan asking for her new music Jesy commented: “I promise it’s worth the wait.”
The Daily Star previously revealed that the singer was no longer with the record label RCA, which is part of the Sony Music umbrella.
A source said: “It’s no secret Jesy has been hitting the studio recently but she’s no longer with RCA.
“It looks almost certain that she’s parted ways with Sony as a whole as well.
“She’s looked for a whole new team and since splitting with Little Mix Jesy has been pitched around for a new PR to head up her upcoming projects.

The Daily Star has reached out to Jesy for comment.
Jesy announced her shocking exit from Little Mix in December, saying she found “the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard” and that it was taking “a toll on my mental health.”
She also recently sparked rumours she was back with her ex, Harry James, after they posted pictures of the same takeaway from posh sushi restaurant Roka.
The couple dated for 16 months before calling it quits back in 2018.
