Larry King's emotional last social media post before death sees him with sons

Larry King’s last post before he died from coronavirus at the age of 87 was a sweet photograph of himself with his two adult sons.

The US talk show host, most famed for hosting his namesake The Larry King Show and Larry King Live, died on Saturday morning his media company, Ora Media, announced today.

He last posted on his social media accounts on November 27, 2020 at 1.05am on Twitter.

Larry shared a sweet tweet wishing his 2.4million followers a Happy Thanksgiving as he took a second to appreciate his own family by attaching two photos along with his words.

The star tweeted: “Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for my boys and dinner from Craig’s!”

In the first photo, Larry could be seen sitting down as two of his sons out of his five children stood by his side grinning.

In the adorable image Larry smiled from ear-to-ear as he enjoyed the precious moment with his loved ones.

In the second snap, a picture of a takeaway box could be seen from the American restaurant Craig’s.

Larry’s fans have now taken to his last tweet to pay their respects by replying to it.

One fan tweeted today: “I am very sorry Larry King! you will be missed very much! my condolences! many blessings, amen!”

A second said: “Your dad was a legend, boys. I can see a lot of him in you. God Bless your family during this difficult time.”

“My condolences to his family, friends and fans,” said another.

On Saturday morning King’s media company, Ora Media, published a statement revealing his death.

The statement read: “With profound sadness, Ora Media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.

“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster.

“Additionally, while it was his name appearing in the shows’ titles, Larry always viewed his interview subjects as the true stars of his programmes, and himself merely an unbiased conduit between the guests and audience.

“Whether he was interviewing a US president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage, or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions.”
