Lorraine fans were left cooing and feeling broody after single dad David Watkins introduced his son Miles, who he welcomed through the use of an anonymous egg donor and a surrogate.
The ITV host spoke to the 42-year-old teacher about his decision to use a surrogate and start his journey to fatherhood, after a change in surrogacy laws came about in January 2019.
But as Lorraine Kelly spoke to the Southampton chap, viewers couldn’t help commenting how cute his baby boy Miles was – and how broody he was making them feel.
One said: “OMG! Miles is making me so broody! What a gorgeous boy. Love is all that matters, good luck to them both.”

David’s son Miles was born in July last year, after surrogacy laws changed in January 2019, meaning single people could apply to become a child’s legal parent.
He met surrogate Faye Spreadbury at a social event, and the mother-of-two reached out and volunteered to carry David’s child.
Previously, single parents were not allowed to apply for a parental order, which transfers the parentage from the surrogate to whoever is intended to be the parent.

It meant that surrogates could reclaim the child from single parents if they wished.
Speaking of his decision to go down the surrogacy route, David explained: “I was always very happy being single.
“I’ve had relationships over the years and it just didn’t work out that way, but I moved into a place where I was absolutely fine being a single dad.
“And I celebrate that. I wouldn’t want it any other way actually, now.”
He went on: “It was really important to me that I had a biological connection to Miles, something I wanted to do.”
The new dad described his boy as “the light of [his] life”, adding: “I’m so incredibly lucky, he’s a miracle. I’m so blessed. He’s such a smiley, happy boy.”
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV
