Love Island babe Millie Court left fans gobsmacked during Monday night’s episode after she made a huge history blunder.
The 24-year-old blonde, who is coupled up with Liam Reardon, made the gaffe during a conversation about Faye Winter and Teddy Soares being voted one of the least compatible couples in the villa.
“If Faye finds out that her friends have voted for her it’s going to be World War Two,” said the fashion buyer, seemingly forgetting that the Second World War as already taken place.
Millie’s terrible history knowledge follows a recent comment by Liam asking someone to explain what a sibling was.
The comment comes after the pair were voted most intelligent couple earlier in the series.
Fans on Twitter were quick to pick up on the clanger, sharing: “So who’s gonna tell Millie that WW2 ended in 1945?”.
Another added: “Imagine when Millie discovers there’s a whole World War she didn’t know about.”
A third person commented: “Millie babe I love you but World War Two already happened.”
Despite being voted most intelligent couple, partner Liam, 21, a bricklayer from Wales was also left confused on last night’s episode when Millie asked him if he knew what an aphrodisiac was when eating asparagus he had cooked for her in the villa.
“Is this an aphrodisiac?” said the Essex babe.
But a confused Liam asked: “Aphrodisiac? What’s that?”
Monday’s episode saw the newest couple in the villa, Priya Gopaldas and Brett Staniland booted out by the public after being voted least compatible couple.
Long-time couple Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole were also up for the chop alongside Faye and Teddy, Priya and Brett and Mary Bedford and Aaron Simpson.
After being dumped from the villa, medical student Priya caused controversy by telling Faye that she and Brett were not one of the couples that voted for her and Teddy, leaving hothead Faye fuming.
In a sneak peak of Tuesday’s episode, lettings manager Faye, 26, is seen arguing with Jake about his intentions with pal Liberty as she goes on a rampage to discover who voted for her.
Faye was heard telling partner Teddy, a 26-year-old Senior Financial Consultant from Manchester, she’ll “lose her [bleep]” if she discovers a couple has voted for them without telling her the reason.
“If someone has said something and given a reason and not said that to my face, I will lose my [bleep].
“Because one thing I can’t stand in this world is two-faced people.”
Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 at 9pm
